Life is too short to take boring photos, go crazy - you'll end up with a few to delete, but when you get that one great shot it will be worth it.
Slow shutter speed creativity:
Zoom in while taking a slower exposure (or Zoom out) Keep your camera steady and your subject in the middle.
Flick your camera upwards as you push the shutter - this is great when you have splashes of colour eg a field of wild flowers
